DPSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has completed the delivery of all 16 Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH-DHRUV MK-III, Maritime Role) helicopters to the Indian Coast Guard (ICG).
These are part of an order for 32 Mk III variants announced in March 2017, comprising 16 for the ICG and the remaining 16 for the Indian Navy.
The ICG has now further issued a Letter of Intent (LoI) for nine more helicopters. Indigenously designed and developed by HAL, ALH-DHRUV MK-III is a twin engine, multi-role, multi-mission new generation helicopter in the 5.5-ton weight class.
