Oshkosh Defense announces production of 20000th JLTV

Oshkosh Defense LLC, an Oshkosh Corporation company have announced the production of the 20,000th Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV).

The production of the 20,000th JLTV is a testament to the tremendous capabilities of the Oshkosh team and their commitment to serve the U.S. Armed Forces by providing the most capable tactical wheeled vehicles.

Notably, Oshkosh Defense in 2015 won the initial contract worth $6.7 billion contract to produce the JLTV, a replacement for the Humvee for the US Army.

The company beat out competitors including of Humvee-maker AM General and defense titan Lockheed Martin and bagged the contract.
