It has been reported that the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be hosting a mega multilateral air exercise, ‘Tarang Shakti’, next year that was originally planned for October.
This is because a number of participating global Air Forces conveyed to the IAF that they will not be able to join the wargame if it is held this year.
Now, the exercise is likely to be held in the middle of 2024, and will be the biggest multilateral air exercise being organized in India.
Noteworthy, the exercise is expected to witness the participation of twelve nations, with six nations joining with their aircraft and the remaining six as observers.
Basically, the focus of this multilateral air exercise is to improve military cooperation and enhance interoperability.
Although the participating countries have not been officially announced yet, but it is anticipated that United States, Japan, Australia, France and the United Kingdom amongst others will be sending their aircraft for this landmark exercise.
