The Ministry of Defence, Government of India, intends to procure Armoured Recovery Vehicle Qty 170, based on a tracked platform.
This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued with a view to finalizing SQRs, deciding procurement category, and identifying probable Indian vendors who are capable of commencing supply of ARV within two years of the Award of Contract / Supply Order @ of at least 50 ARV vehicles per year.
ARV is planned to be procured in the spirit of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ programs. The preferred categorization for the project as per provisions of Chapter II of DAP-2020 may be indicated by the vendor with due justifications.
ARV will be employed for cross-country (off-road) operations in under mentioned terrain conditions: –
(a) Plain, semi-desert, and desert terrain as occurring along the Western Borders of India.
(b) High Altitude (up to 5000 meters altitude) / Mountainous terrain as occurring along the Northern Borders (Eastern Ladakh/ Central Sector / North Sikkim) of India.
