Jeh Aerospace, the aerospace and defence manufacturing startup, inaugurated its manufacturing hub in Hyderabad on January 23, 2024.
The newly inaugurated facility in Hyderabad by Jeh Aerospace has the capacity to be extended up to 160,000 square feet.
The inauguration of manufacturing comes shortly after the announcement of the platform raising $2.75 million (approximately Rs 23 crore) from General Catalyst through a strategic partnership.
In addition to General Catalyst’s investment, the seed funding round for Jeh Aerospace also saw participation from industry veterans.
Notably, Airbus India’s former CEO and MD, Dwarakanath Srinivasan, and the former president of Boeing India, Pratyush Kumar, contributed as angel investors.
The company has been co-founded by Tata Boeing Aerospace ex-Chief Operating Officer Vishal R Sanghavi and Venkatesh Mudragalla, ex-senior executive at Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Ltd
Further, the company offers manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management solutions to the global aerospace and defense industry at all tiers, from OEMs to tooling manufacturers.
With vetted supplier networks that meet or exceed global quality standards, the manufacturing hub will reshape the supply chain experience for global aerospace customers.
According to Sanghavi, this facility goes beyond being a physical space, which will reshape the global aerospace and defence supply chain, PTI reported.
The facility will create a more robust and adaptable aerospace supply chain and work towards enhancing the industry’s capabilities and resilience, the company said.
