India and Tanzania aim to upgrade their defence ties to comprehensive strategic partnership, during the Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan visit to India early next week.
Notably, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan will be arriving in New Delhi today for a four-day state visit during which she will participate in bilateral meetings and exchange MoUs with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It is to be noted that in the last few years, the defence ties between India with Tanzania have received a major boost as the South East African state has shown keenness to purchase Indian military equipment and expand maritime security partnership.
Further, Tanzania have been working with the Indian defence sector for a while now in terms of training, and exchange of knowledge.
Recently, the Indian Army chief also visited Tanzania with the aim to strengthen the bilateral defence ties with the latter.
