India’s defence exports touches Rs 8000 Cr in first 6 months of FY 2022-23

India has registered defence exports worth Rs 8,000 Crores in the first six months of the current fiscal 2022-23 which is likely to rise to Rs 17,000 Crores 2022-23.

The major defence items being exported include Personal Protective items, Offshore Patrol Vessels, ALH Helicopter to name a few.

According to the defence minister Shri Rajnath Singh, “Defence exports (Source: PIB) have now crossed Rs 14,000 crore, we are well on course to achieve Rs 25,000 crore target by 2025.” 

At present, the exports are being made to more than 75 countries all over the world. Names of the countries have not been divulged due to strategic reasons.
