The trials of ‘Project Veda’ – Vehicle for Defence Application – are likely to begin soon.
Developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), this project envisages development of a new satellite launch vehicle (SLV) for the Indian armed forces.
The SLV, codenamed Project Veda, will be used to put defence satellites into lower orbit for a variety of purposes—including surveillance, communication and navigation.
