The ‘India Defence Conclave 2023’ was recently held in New Delhi, and witnessed active participation from both the public and private sector in the defence sector.
The conclave was organized by ETGovernment, an initiative of The Economic Times, with the theme “Propelling Self-Reliance in Aerospace & Defence Sector”.

The India Defence Conclave 2023 featured interactive panel discussions and presentations on the strategies and procedures that can be adopted for ensuring that the Indian defence forces are equipped with latest technologies.
The co-host partners to the India Defence Conclave were BrahMos and MIDHANI; while Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science & Technology, PMO, Atomic Energy and Space, and Shri Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State for Defence and Tourism, were the chief guests of the conclave.
Further, the conclave held discussions particularly on the following areas: –
- Technologies and systems for future in defence sector- capitalizing new opportunities
- Ecosystem for leadership in defence R&D
- Human and Infrastructure resources for NextGen Technologies;
- Challenges that defence R&D is facing and collaborative opportunities and synergies that the defence R&D is looking at.
