The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) for draft QRs/Specification of Extreme Cold Climate Jacket Two Layer MK-II ECC item. The last date for response is 26th June 2023.
This specification covers the requirements of Jacket Extreme Cold Climate Two Layer MK-ll in Four sizes viz Small, Medium, Large and Extra-Large, intended for use at high altitude areas. It consists of two independent Layers: –
(a) Wind Proof Insulated Outer Jacket with detachable & collapsible hood- For environmental protection with added insulation.
(b) Inner Jacket with insulating layer.
The Jacket Extreme Cold Climate Two Layer MK-ll provides the opportunity to people living in high altitude area up to 14000 ft. where oxygen level is very low and keeping the body warmth is extremely necessary to protect from Hypothermia.
The Jacket is effective in subzero temperature as low as -200 C & wind velocity of 40km/Hr due to its ability of trapping the body heat and preventing wind, snow and air from penetrating inside.
