Ministry of Defence, Government of India intends to procure Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning and Oiling System. With a view to identify probable Indian vendors who can undertake the said project.
Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning and Oiling System for Artillery Gun System will be used for cleaning chamber & bore of Gun of all in-service Gun systems of various calibre and caliber lengths as well as it’s inspection post cleaning Bore. Bore Cleaning System should be capable of working in plains, deserts, semi-deserts, mountains and High Altitude Areas. Equipment is required to be fully automatic with a bore inspection device and be capable of operating in country within temperature range of minus 30°C to plus 55°C. With a view to identify probable Indian vendors who can undertake the said project, OEMs/ Vendors are requested to provide information on the product that can be offered to meet the requirements of India Army.
Artillery Regiments are to be equipped with Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning and Oiling System so as to reduce man hours and manpower dedicated towards cleaning Bore of various Calibre Guns post their firing. Proposed Universal Gun Barrel Cleaning and Oiling System will be employed in plains, mountains, high altitude area, semi desert and desert terrain across the country for cleaning Bore of these gun systems. Proposed equipment should be able to clean all types of firing residues to include carbon as well as copper deposits.
