DPSU Bharat Dynamics Limited Organizes Vendors Meet

As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, a Vendors Meet was organized by Defence public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on 6th November 2023.

About 160 vendors attended the meet organized at the Company’s Kanchanbagh Unit in Hyderabad.

The meet commenced with the “Integrity Pledge for Citizens” administered by Dr. Upender Vennam, IPoS, Chief Vigilance Officer, BDL to the vendors.

Presentations on Integrity Pact & other mandatory provisions and Business Opportunities available with BDL were made to make the vendors abreast of the latest developments.

A display of components and sub-assemblies, proposed for indigenization, was organized at the venue to enable prospective vendors to gain a first-hand understanding about the items for indigenization and business opportunities available with BDL.

About Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL)

Headquartered in Hyderabad, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), was incorporated on 16 July, 1970 as a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India to be the manufacturing base for guided missile systems and allied equipment for the Indian Armed Forces.

Since its inception, BDL has been working in collaboration with DRDO & foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for manufacture and supply of various missiles and allied equipment to Indian Armed Forces.

It began by producing a first generation anti-tank guided missile – the French SS11B1.

This product was a culmination of a licence agreement the Government of India entered into with Aerospatiale.

BDL, with its over five decades of missile and allied defence equipment manufacturing experience, skill-sets developed and state-of-the-art infrastructure, is poised to enter new avenues of manufacturing covering a wide range of weapon systems such as Air-to-Air Missiles, Air-to-Surface Missiles, Air Defence Systems, Underwater Weapons and Mines.
