Indian Navy to procure Fire Warning System for Sindhughosh class submarine

The Indian Navy is desirous of procuring 7 (seven) Fire Warning System (FWS) for Sindhughosh class submarine.

The Fire Warning System (FWS) is required for an automatic early warning of the outbreak and location of developing fire by way of an audio alarm and display unit, thereby alerting the watchkeeper and firefighting organization to take necessary action.

The categorisation of the procurement is under Buy (Indian-IDDM), and the minimum Indigenous Content (IC) required is 50%.

The delivery schedule of FWS is spanned over a period of 30 months.

The timeline for system delivery will be effective from the Effective Date of Contract, i.e., from the date of release of Advance payment.

Detailed survey and formulation of premilitary design of the FWS are to be carried out by the Bidder within 30 days of signing of the contract.
