India agrees to withdraw its military troops from Maldives

India has agreed to withdraw its military troops from the Maldives.

After a series of constructive meetings and dialogues with the Indian government, an agreement has been reached to withdraw Indian military personnel.

Noteworthy, Indian personnel are deployed to operate three gifted aircraft patrolling the maritime territory.

Reportedly, as of now the agreement for the withdrawal of military troops was in progress at a technical level.

However, as of now no timeframe has been given by any of the countries for the withdrawal.

Worth mentioning that this deciosin follows after a recent meeting between Maldives recently elected President Muizzu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of COP28 in Dubai.
