Indian Navy issues tender for procurement of Two Men Recompression Chamber

Indian Navy has issued a Request for Proposal / tender for the procurement of 14 numbers of Two Men Recompression Chamber (RCC).

The procurement is under Buy (Indian) category with the requirement of 60% Indigenous Content (IC).

The last date for bid submission is 28 February 2024.

The role defined in the RFP is for on-site recompression / therapeutic treatment up to 75 M depth of a driver with attendant facility.

Further, the main features comprise of portable two men recompression chamber with international mating clamp and integrated control panel. High Pressure Air/ oxygen storage bottles, medical lock, and trolley system for transportability.

RCC design to be for occupancy by two person (Driver and Attendant) and access through a hatch.

A Recompression Chamber (RCC) is meant for operational roles in harbour/at sea for undertaking therapeutic recompression in chamber divers. A two men RCC would enable providing recompression facility for divers at offshore locations.

The RCC will have integrated Air Bank and Oxygen gas bank for provision of air and oxygen supply to the RCC.
